Korean culture will take over the area around Centennial Hall (Hala Stulecia) on 10 October, when Korea Day 2026 brings a full day of music, dance, food, fashion and business events to Wrocław.
Organised by the Association of Koreans in Poland together with the City of Wrocław, the event will offer an opportunity to discover South Korean culture while also highlighting the growing links between Poland and Korea.
The programme runs from 10.00 to 20.00, with free entry throughout the day.
Korean culture meets business at Centennial Hall
Korea Day 2026 will have a strong business and international cooperation programme alongside its cultural events.
Presentations, business meetings and conferences will take place at the Wrocław Congress Centre at Centennial Hall, with an official delegation from South Korea expected to attend. The programme is being organised in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Centre.
The event is intended to support cultural and economic cooperation between Poland and South Korea, while allowing local organisations and businesses to build new connections.
K-Pop, traditional music and Hanbok fashion
The cultural programme will bring several different sides of Korean culture to the area around Centennial Hall.
One of the highlights will be a performance by the Seongnam Traditional Korean Music Ensemble. There will also be a Hanbok Fashion Show, showcasing Korea's traditional clothing, while local dance groups will take part in the K-POP Cover Dance Competition.
The combination should make for a lively afternoon around the Centennial Hall complex, with contemporary K-Pop alongside older Korean musical and fashion traditions.
Korean street food at the K-Food Festival
Food will have its own dedicated space at the event.
The K-Food Festival will be held on the square beneath the Centennial Hall's iconic spire, known as Plac pod Iglicą. Visitors will be able to try a selection of Korean street food and other popular dishes from South Korea.
Korean cuisine has become increasingly familiar in Poland in recent years, with dishes such as Korean fried chicken, tteokbokki, kimbap and other street-food favourites appearing in cities across the country.
Korea Day offers the chance to sample Korean food as part of a wider celebration of the country's culture.
A look at Wrocław's Korean community
There is also a local story running through the event.
Korea Day 2026 will feature the exhibition “Zwykłe Odległości”, focused on the Korean community in Wrocław and nearby Bielany Wrocławskie. The exhibition was created by Mariam Giunashvili from Georgia and Marina Pietrocoli from Italy and was organised by the Wrocław Institute of Culture.
The exhibition will run until 13 September 2026, so it will finish several weeks before Korea Day itself. It provides an opportunity to learn more about the people and community connections that have developed between Wrocław and Korea.
