Pawłowice will host a new celebration of harvest, food and rural traditions on Sunday 27 September, when the first Wrocław City and University Harvest Festival takes over the grounds of the Centre for Education and Development around Pawłowice Palace.
Organised by the City of Wrocław and the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, the event will bring together traditional harvest customs, local food producers, folk music and an evening concert.
The celebrations begin at midday with a performance by the Zespół Pieśni Ślęży, followed by a traditional harvest procession from the farm buildings towards the palace terrace. There, a loaf of bread will be presented to the festival hosts, reflecting the long-standing tradition of celebrating the work and harvest of farmers.
Bread, wreaths and traditional music
Food will play a central role throughout the day.
Visitors can enter or simply follow a competition for the best homemade bread, while a live demonstration will show how bread is prepared and baked. Traditional harvest wreaths will also be presented during the afternoon.
The musical programme includes performances by the folk groups Kostrzanie and Jedliniok, the latter familiar to people who regularly attend events organised at Pawłowice by the University of Environmental and Life Sciences.
Alongside the stage programme, the festival grounds will feature a market selling products and a food truck area, giving visitors plenty of opportunity to make an afternoon of their visit.
Enej to headline the celebrations
The main concert will come from Enej, who will take to the stage from 17:00 to 18:30.
The Polish band is known for combining folk influences with rock, ska and punk, drawing on both Polish and Ukrainian musical traditions. Their best-known songs include Skrzydlate ręce, Tak smakuje życie and Symetryczno-liryczna.
For the Pawłowice event, their performance provides a lively finish to an afternoon centred on harvest traditions and food.
A full weekend in Pawłowice
The harvest festival is not the only reason to visit Pawłowice that weekend.
On Saturday 26 September, the grounds will host the start of the Cheese and Wine Festival, which will continue into Sunday alongside the harvest celebrations.
The weekend programme will include farmers' cheeses, Lower Silesian wines and a culinary competition. There will also be a meeting with chef Katarzyna Daniłowicz, winner of the Polish edition of Top Chef.
Daniłowicz is head chef at Restauracja Tarasowa, which received a Bib Gourmand distinction in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide.
With the cheese and wine event beginning on Saturday and the harvest celebrations following on Sunday, Pawłowice is set to have a particularly food-focused weekend.
