Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and Wrocław has a varied programme lined up for 31st October. Live music takes centre stage at several venues, while Zamek Leśnica is preparing a vinyl-fuelled costume party, Równe Miejsce is hosting a queer Halloween film evening and Hydropolis is opening its doors for a special after-dark experience.

Whether the plan involves a night of rock music, dancing in costume or an evening out with the family, there is plenty happening across the city.

Halloween at Alive Club: Mama Morphine, Slavemind and Destiny

Alive Club is keeping things firmly in rock territory this Halloween, with three bands taking to the stage on Saturday evening. Mama Morphine, Slavemind and Destiny will perform from 19:30, bringing a night of live guitar music to the club.

Halloween costumes are welcome, although there is no pressure to dress up. The best part is that entry is free, making this one of the few Halloween concerts in the city that does not require a ticket.

The concert takes place on 31st October at Alive Club in Wrocław, with performances starting at 19:30.

Rock-Metal Halloween at Stary Klasztor

Two stages, Gothic interiors and a soundtrack spanning rock, metal and alternative music set the scene at Stary Klasztor this Halloween.

The Gothic Hall will host WrocLove Band, led by Marek 'Sting' Popow, performing music associated with Marilyn Manson, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, Rob Zombie, Nirvana, The Cranberries and Michael Jackson, alongside Polish favourites.

Downstairs, the Piwnica will take a different musical direction with Dziewczyna Szamana (Shaman's Girl), a special concert led by Nikola Warda. The programme celebrates women in rock, metal and gothic music, with songs by Evanescence, Nightwish, Within Temptation and Skunk Anansie, as well as Polish female artists.

Costumes are encouraged, and there is a financial incentive to arrive dressed for the occasion. Reduced admission applies to guests wearing Halloween outfits, while some of the best costumes may be invited onto the stage. Halloween-themed drinks will also be available at the bars.

The event starts at 19:00 on 31st October at Stary Klasztor, ul. Purkyniego 1. Standing tickets cost PLN 60, while balcony seats are PLN 75. Reduced costume admission is PLN 40 or PLN 60, depending on the ticket category. One ticket covers both concert spaces.

A Halloween party in a castle

Bal Dzikich at Zamek Leśnica

Halloween takes a more bohemian turn at Zamek Leśnica, where Bal Dzikich draws inspiration from the social gatherings of the post-war artistic scene.

The music will be house, played exclusively on vinyl. DJ Duch will be joined by the Odra Vice collective, featuring DYYUNE, VVYDRA and Scyntero.

The costume theme is the letter 'B', with guests encouraged to get creative. A badger, a boomerang or a ballerina are among the suggestions, although dressing up is not compulsory.

The castle will have a dance floor, chill-out areas, a bar and a smoking terrace. VIP ticket holders will also have access to a private room with finger-food catering.

Bal Dzikich takes place on 31st October at Zamek Leśnica, with tickets available through Stage24.

Queer Halloween at Równe Miejsce

Halloween at Równe Miejsce, the LGBT+ Centre in Wrocław, will revolve around films, conversation and a little fortune-telling.

The evening begins at 16:00 on 31st October, with tarot readings available for PLN 10. There will also be a film quiz before a screening of the cult musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show, followed by a discussion.

Popcorn and snacks will be available, adding to the relaxed cinema atmosphere. The programme centres on spending time together in a welcoming space, with the film providing a natural starting point for conversation.

After dark at Hydropolis

Hydropolis is taking a different approach to Halloween, inviting visitors to explore its exhibitions after dark in a programme combining science, storytelling and local legends.

The evening begins at 19:00 on 31st October with a series of spectacular experiments. Visitors will then join a special tour led by two familiar fictional characters: Ursula from The Little Mermaid and Cruella de Mon from 101 Dalmatians.

Along the way, the programme will explore the mysteries of water and nature, as well as some stories closer to home. These include the history of Wrocław's tenement known as Pod Złotym Psem and the underground spaces of Wzgórze Partyzantów, alongside questions about the wildlife of the Amazon rainforest.

Tickets cost between PLN 45 and PLN 55. They can be purchased through the Hydropolis website by selecting individual admission for 31st October at 19:00 and the Halloween event ticket.

Halloween across Wrocław

From the stages of Stary Klasztor to the rooms of Zamek Leśnica, Halloween night will bring very different sounds and atmospheres to Wrocław. There is a free rock concert at Alive Club, a two-stage music event for rock and metal fans, a castle party with a vinyl-only soundtrack and a film evening at Równe Miejsce.

Families can head to Hydropolis for a Halloween experience built around experiments, stories and exploration after dark.

With most of the events taking place on the same evening, it is worth checking start times and ticket arrangements before heading out. Whatever the choice, Saturday 31st October looks set to be a busy night around the city.
